Posted December 30, 201113 yr Okay everyone, so our company has recently decided to move to windows 7 (took a while yes) and we are trying to image 24 Lenovo laptops for win7. This took place because we could not get them to image with xp, and we tried for a couple weeks. Yesterday, I built one of the laptops with win7, installed all the software we needed, and then syspreped it. I got it capturing, and decided to leave and let it go overnight and work on it in the morning (today). However, when I came in and booted it up, I keep getting an error while trying to do any kind of work with explorer.exe. The error reads "The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password." I am logged on as the local admin, and it still happens. Also, when it first boots, a balloon error comes up at the bottom stating "Group Policy could not start". Any help would be appreciated, also this is our first try with deploying/capturing win7 and we did not change anything on the wds server. Thanks. -Kyle Continue reading...
