Greetings

This is something of a parallel to the post at

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_start/many-legacympkslf-keys-remaining-in-registry-after/490cff6f-a1d4-4b66-a3ed-9bbb57443dc8

To the best of my knowledge I was not having the issue of phantom services (under the non-plug and play drivers) section of the Device Manager until updating to MSE 4 Beta. I did a full uninstall of MSE 2 prior to installing the Beta now there are over 100 phantom drivers all starting with the MpKsl mnemonic. A search of the services section of the registry [HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services] shows 20 old MpKsl files, none of which relate to the current definitions .

I'm running a network with 4 other PC's all configured the same, yet only this one (that I'm currently using) has MSE 4 Beta - and it's the only one with all the extra phantom services and references thereof. So, I'm confident this is largely an MSE 4 Beta issue, references to old definition [that have been replaced/updated] not being deleted.

Again, I know this issue was discussed in the link above, but the post dates (August 2011) suggest this was under MSE 2 it appears MSE 4 has a similar issue. Any additional help / guidance would be appreciated.
