Posted December 27, 201113 yr Windows security alert icon shows in my tray. When I clicked on it, the window for firewall and automatic updates came up. It said the firewall was off but the auto updates was on. Went to the start menu to bring up the menu and changed to turn on the firewall. Now the firewall is on but the automatic updates is off and I can't get it to go back on when I hit apply and ok. Now when I hit the security alert icon, a window comes up saying 'what do you want to open the program with?'. I also did a scan with the Malware program which indicated 5 infections, which I deleted. That's when things seemed to really mess up. Any ideas? Continue reading...
