Please Help! I had an expired version of Norton installed. i removed it to install Microsoft security essentials, but now i have no protection. I can't load MS security or install updates.

when i try to start the Backgrd intelligent transfer svc, I get error code 1083. Windows installer gives an error code of 1075.

I am infected with viruses, but can't load any program to remopve them! What do i do now? (I am running windows XP pro version 2002 SP 2)

I tried loading SP3 and internet explorer 7, but it said a component was missing?
