getting both error codes 0x80070715 and 0x4ff02

I keep getting the error code 080070715 when I try to open my Microsoft Security Essentials and then when I try to download a new verison it says that its already installed. When I try to remove the the oldest program, it pops up with something saying that it can't find the files necessary to complete the installation and then tells me to install the program. I am not sure what I need to do in order to fix the problem and have Security essentials open for me.
