How do I buy an OEM Windows 7 product key for Windows 7 clean installed via upgrade?

I performed a clean installation of Windows 7 Upgrade on a brand new PC without installing any other OS. I didn't realize that it was an "upgrade" version. Now, I need a valid Windows 7 product key.

Can I purchased an OEM version of Windows 7 at a website like Newegg.com to activate my Windows 7?

I just checked and my copy of Windows XP was an upgrade version too! My copy of Vista is an OEM from my old HP laptop. If nothing else works, would it work to install OEM Vista on my new computer and upgrade or is that OEM Vista tied to the original HP laptop?
