Why amI getting an error message and shut down of active sync when it gets to the notes...

using windows XP SP3 activce sync 4.5 and Outtlook 2007. Active sync connects looks for changes and begins syncing. Goes thru calendar and contacts AND WHEN IT GETS TO NOTES I GET AN ERROR MESSAGET that sayh AS must close and TO REPORT. When i click send Acrive sync closes.
