my cddvd rom does not recognized or see that a disc is in, if I double click on the drive it...

I own a hp pavilion dv7-4177nr Entertainment Notebook four days ago the dvd drive cannot recognize tha a cd or dvd in in that drive if I right or double click on that drive it eject the disk , The scan says the drive is working ok please help mike
