Office 2010 reports documents opened on local file server as being opened from the Internet

I recently deployed Office 2010 Pro on a laptop that originally had no issues with Office, but now anytime the user tries to open an Office document, spreadsheet, etc. a security warning is displayed that the document is trying to be opened from the Internet. The files reside on a file server running Windows Storage Server 2008 on the same subnet that the computer experiencing the issue is on. I am in a single forest/single domain AD environment. No other computers with Office 2010 are experiencing this issue. My assumption is that the user inadvertently turned this security feature on and I would greatly appreciate any assistance in turning the feature off.
