MSE giving odd dates after update

After updating MSE today my MSE oddly says Virus Definitions Out of Date, but Created On 12/18/2011 at 3:01am. MSE also now says Last Checked 2/17/2012 . Virus Defn Version 1.117.1307.0. What's going on? No other problems on computer other than MSE saying the computer is Potentially Unprotected.

MS Windows XP 4 years old. Intel dual core.
