I had this problem myself today with build 6000 and found a solution

Start>Control Panel> top left hand corner click classic view> Administrative tools>Services> double click windows update>stop the service> change Automatic (Delayed Start) to Automatic> Start the service> click apply and Reboot. Windows updates should be working now
