Word starter 2010 :defect in "insert" mode, "picture" icon not triggered

My word starter 2010 does not:

1. activate the “picture” icon when in insert mode.

2. “ save as “ or “save” my word documents.

I am reduced to emailing my word documents to myself and downloading these to “my documents”.

The various forum suggestions did not work. I thought things would be different but this is not the case. Toschiba the OEM installer of Windows 7 was suggested as the responsible party as a fix, but Toschiba denied responsibility. It is not within my ability resolve contract conditions re MS and Toschiba.

Here is what I want. I want MS to provide a fix. If this is a reinstallation of Windows 7 with or without the “starter” constraints. This condition has persisted since August and only when I ‘gave up’ any belief that the two corporate giants would resolve one single fairly petty problem.

Does anyone know how I can excite MS to “MOVE” asap?
