I need help reg windows 7 basic os !!

 

unforchunately my c: drive where the os lives is formatted !! (sony laptop)

 

i dont have the back up and rescue disc and also windows 7 os !!

 

now i need to install the windows 7 os !!

 

i do have the original serial key (back of laptop)

 

so my doubt is if i download windows 7 basic from internet and enter the key from back will it accept !! (synchoronize)

 

or is there any other option please do suggest me !!

If you download a copy of Windows 7 from Microsoft's site your key will activate it.
