I have a brand new laptop with vista home or basic ?? and when I try to

update windows it gives me failed updates ,it will update drivers but not

updates for vista update or security updates.This seems to be coming abig

problem if I read all the questions.Please help as I do not have good knowage

of computers,easy fix please??????
