Dual Boot With XP Pro

I am unable to get my system to allow a dual boot installation.

I have Acronis True Image and am able to restore my XP installation. When I

tried to do a clean install to a new partion on my HD, the process went to

completion. However, when it tried to boot for the first time a number of

errors came up. On re-booting, I get the option of 'Earlier Version Of

Windows' or 'Vista'. I can boot to XP but not to Vista (runs for a minute

then crashes then tries to reload).

I had no problems installing Vista, have managed to get drivers for all the

hardware and everything works fine. However, one of my hobbies is video

editing and all the decent software only works with XP.
