Posted August 17, 200717 yr Yes, system restore makes backups of all files on your harddisk, usually uses up to 15 percent of your harddisk size, so you can really free up a lot of GB's if you disable it. Also, old restore points are deleted automatically if there is not enough space, so system restore will not fill up your entire harddisk. It's reccomended to keep system restore on on your system drive, because if something goes really wrong in windows, you can restore a backup, but that's your choice.
