Guest grandmacurrie Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I want to create a document in which I can list all the ingredients of my recipes. I then want to be able to EASILY compare each recipe against all the others to make sure that no two recipes are the same with just a different name. I saw something like this many years ago, where the ingredient names were done on an angle that came off the top of the page (thus taking up less room, and where a number of 'rows' could be 'frozen(?)' as the rest of the information was scrolled up to compare to the information in the last recipe that was frozen on the top of page. My question is what program might this be from and how do I get this accomplished? I have NO experience with either Access or Excel, but if it was explained CLeArLY to me, I am sure that I could get the hang of it. I tried going through the tutorials, but they were talking in terms I was unfamiliar with, and I couldn't make it relate to my personal 'recipe' needs. I just want to make sure I dont have duplicate recipes amongst my 1,000 + entries, and I'd prefer to be able to go through them in a couple of hours and not a couple of years. LOL I appreciate any help you can give me - heck I'd even send you a copy of the book when I get it done, if you would like one. Thanks again. Quote
