Took my PC to a repair shop and they couldn't figure it out. I found Doug Knox's site: http://www.dougknox.com/ He's a Microsoft MVP. I used the script - Restore CD/DVD Drives to Explorer (look in WinXP fixes) or http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cd_dvd_fix.htm It fixed my PC right away. R.
