using WSUSSCN2.CAB

Hello,

I am trying to find a way to obtain the list of patches and security updates

that should be installed for specific Microsoft operating systems and

applications. It has to be some sort of list, which depending on the

operating system or application given, it brings the list of patches or

updates that should be installed.

I would like to know if this information can be obtained from the

WSUSSCN2.CAB file and how. The KB article 927745 brings some information on

this issue, but I find it quite cryptic and incomplete.

Using MBSA and MBSACLI are not an option, because they both require

administrator rights.
