I posted this in another forum, and they suggested I try here:

 

 

 

This appears to be a problem with RPC. I have run the System Update

 

Readiness Tool, and here is the results:

I have tries manually downloading the KB978637 update, and installing, but

 

the update never finishes. I left it running overnight, and it was still on

 

the same screen:

and never finishes.

 

 

 

I need this fixed, because I need to add CGI so I can install PHP on IIS. I

 

haven't needed to be in the server management screen in a while, so I don't

 

know when this stopped working.

 

 

 

I am running Server 2008R2 x64 on a Intel Xeon E5405 with 16 GB of memory.

 

Server is less than 1 year old.
