Office 2007 Updates won't install

I too had this problem - on two different computers with Vista. Was

trying to install Office 2007 on one of them, and was just trying to

install Office 2007 updates on the other. I couldn't install or update

the program. I changed the UAC - turned it off made sure the

"permissions" were set to allow all users to use the temporary folder

turned off the firewall - nothing worked. I saw in one of the posts

that someone disabled Carbonite... well, I never would have thought that

would be an issue, but sure enough, when I disabled Carbonite, it then

allowed me to install.
