I beg to differ with you.

I also received the same download. Unauthorized. I have my system in a

permanent 4 hour boot delay until I can get some answers.

The knowledge base number KB970158 was in a link to the microsoft site (I

checked view in the update list on the pending update) and the microsoft site

has no record of this download. Other details are: Kernel-Mode Driver

Framework. Sorry, but the Yahoo site said Zune is the culprit. I do not have

Zune on my system. So forget what you saw on Yahoo. They don't know what they

are talking about, and I am appalled that anyone in a Microsoft forum would

give someone a link to Yahoo!

I sent an email help request to Microsoft, and I am still waiting on a

reply. I set a restore point in case WU decides to reboot my computer without

my permission too! I have also posted this problem to the Aumha forum and so

far, after 5 hours, no answer.

So please don't think that there is "no such update", since it has happened

to someone else, and I know that it came from the MS WU! Unfortunately, even

though I have mine set to notify and allow me to choose..it made the decision

for me. Now I have to do a lot of detective work to find out why and what it

is before I can reboot my computer.

Billkalbo, you are not losing your mind, nor are you alone on this issue.
