Apply to Government & R&D organizations.

A pilot for example, may like to talk into computer, not moving hands for

some controls, but then again a less than perfect Speech recognition can

launch some missiles & blow up unwanted targets....

But a more useful usage for example could be language learning. Almost 20

years ago when I was still speaking a language different from English,

wondered if I could talk more than type into computers which at the time

were not as polished as today in terms of speech.

But I got by simply using mIRC (IRC chat client) and talking to many people

usually however sticking with the same Channel (#Music.Metal on prodigy.net

which's been my ISP since 1993), same people for several years and still

know several thru MySpace.

I am serious. A decade passed but I still know a few of these people met on

mIRC before the time when Internet turned into this sometimes perverse

collection of commercial garbage that it's become today.

People online were still mostly normal in those days, commercials were rare,

and generally it was great....

It helped me to adapt to this country and learn language, besides college

and public speaking.

Now I wonder if Speech recognition was around in those days as it is now...

that would be even better than mIRC.

I don't know what's happened to mIRC since then, whatsoever, don't care.

I grew up some years ago and stipped wasting time on all this, I only WORK

on computers.

Never play, never entertain, just work.

For entertainment, nothing's better than driving to exotic places or walkign

around city.... but I am doing computers this past year sometimes like 16

hours/day, and that's insane already.

That's how EE design stage progresses nowadays, only when you get to

Prototyping stage is when you work with real metal, plastic, silicon,

circuit boards, Test Equipment before that happens - you sit on a computer

like it's your wife..... because my board is FPGA+MCU based and it's all

programmed & designed on computers.

Yep... modern life is strange. There was time in history when people

gathered around bonfires, street festivities, hunting, etc. Now they gather

at places like this Forum.

I am going out to Long Island to a library, maybe bring a netbook and do

more work heheheh.... more computer.
