When navigating to a folder, Office docs freeze.

When I save an Office 2007 document, and I attempt to navigate to the folder

I want to save in, there is a long freeze rendering the navigation pane

in-operable for about 30 -40 seconds, sometimes longer. This happens in Word

or Excel and it also happens if I am navigating to a folder to open a file

via the applicable program. Any ideas?
