Guest Vee Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 This is nearly a year after these posts (March 1, 2010). I just brought an older Pentium 4 computer pack on line. It has been sitting for over a year. I upgraded the Windows XP to SP3 and downloaded about 50 updates. All of the hardware updates and most of the software updates are installed. I noticed today that my Explorer 8 menu tool bars are blacked out, just as described above. I tried everything I could think of, and then tried changing the themes (I never use anything but the Classic Windows theme. I changed it ti Windows XP theme, it changed and fixed the problem. I changed it back to Classic and it is now back to normal. Yes, I'd say there is a bug here, maybe from SP3? Or one of the many other updates? This is very strange. Anyone else find an answer to this?? -- Vee "Bill Bradshaw" wrote: > Bill Bradshaw wrote: > > For some reason my menu bar and the favorites bar in IE 8 are black.
