Just like "needlove" I use IE7 as a WEB browser, NOT a COMPUTER browser, and I usually don't need or want to see the My Computer history in the IE history list at all. (On the other hand, I wouldn't mind having a FOLDER (not FILE) history in Explorer that doesn't vanish like the Forward/Back drop down history does as soon as I take a different path... but that's another much less important issue.) The last I heard on this was that IE7 is integrated in, or, such an integral part of XP that you cannot remove your computer browsing history from IE history. But, I hate to believe that because I like IE7 except for that one flaw. Explorer.exe is the program that is used to navigate "MY COMPUTER" not Internet explorer.exe. See the difference? The local folders option on the control panel doesn't offer any option... there must be a way of turning the complete history off (not just delete it once).
