Thats the way Windows 7 works it sets the booting OS to C: if you boot

 

to XP yes Windows 7 will become F: (in your case.) as to running a

 

program installed on XP when using Windows 7 this is a no-no if you

 

want the XP program to run under Windows 7 it needs to be installed

 

under Windows 7 also.
