Now that IS funny. Where MS cloned the KDE type Panel in Win7, I surely

see it the other way around. They very poorly cloned Compiz TYPE effects

as well. As I see it, if you are going to clone, then at LEAST do a GOOD

job of it. They proudly try and pass off their new effects as new and

innovative and, well, just rocking. LOL, what a joke it really is, just

like in Vista. They are so far behind with USEFUL desktop effects, they

think they are first. Don't get me started on themes, as MS has ALWAYS

been behind in that They just plain SUCK there. I can change themes at

total will whenever I feel like it in Linux, without much ado. Not so

with MS Windows, as any radical change takes much more than point-and-click.

Do you really think the writer of ANY flavor of Linux gives a rats a**

about equating to any MS windows flavor? If so you are only kidding

yourself. Some create themes that look and feel like Winders, but ONLY

to make former Winders users more comfortable making the switch. That's

it, NO other agenda at all. As with many of my clients, I prefer my

Linux Desktop to be as far removed from MS Winders as possible in order

to take a MUCH needed break from MS. (Any Ver)

So anyway, please cite just how Ubuntu is trying hard to "step closer to

Windows 7." I don't see it. BTW, I tested Win7 From BETA to the final,

and like it MUCH better than XP and Vista. I use both Win7 and Linux for

the best of BOTH worlds.

G'day
