Posted August 12, 200717 yr I was attempting to add a second hard drive to my Vista machine, however I discovered that I had SATA devices and the drive was IDE. After rebooting, I received the Bootmgr is missing. In changing the boot options, I can boot to my hard drive, however I wanted to attempt to boot to the Vista DVD to repair, however when choosing boot to CDROM drives, it gives the bootmgr missing error again. Seems I get the error when attempting to boot to CD/DVD ROM drives, as well as USB devices. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
