Is the original media a Recovery CD rather than a proper Windows XP CD, and if so, it may very well be BIOS locked to the original A100... If what you have is a recovery disk, try borrowing an ordinary XP CD and see if that works... PS - this is obviously not a Vista problem so I've crossposted to an XP group to help you.... Quote
