Guest TheWakingMind Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 We are running Vista Business with Vista SP2 (Build 6002: Service Pack 2) at work. Unfortunately we cannot get unsolicited remote assistance to work with them. These are domain machines in a single domain environment. -The admins belong to the local administrators group on the machines. -The Windows firewall is not enabled -You can connect to the machine by either using \\machinename or by using remote desktop...but NOT remote assistance -Under "System Properties" >> "Remote", "Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer" is checked. Under "Remote Desktop" "Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure" is toggled. If you click the "Select Users" button it contains both our domain\domain admins and another tech group. We belong to both. -We run MSRA with elevated privileges. It says "connecting to the remote computer to get the logged in users"...then gives the error message "Your offer to help could not be completed. Either Remote Assistance is unable to find the remote computer or you do not have permission to connect to the remote computer. Verify that the computer name and permissions are correct, then try again" Any thoughts? Quote
