To get search options approaching the XP style search, hit the winkey and F That will give you the advanced search options where you can specify location, date range, size, filenames, tags, authors and whether to include non indexed, hidden ans system files. You'll also find search setting from an explorer window, tools, options, search tab. Why after all the whining in many of the replies about why he doesn't like the Vista search (I also think it sucks, too many steps to get what you want), no one bothered to try and answer his question is beyond me. The point of resposponding to forum questions, I would think, would be to actually supply answers. Hope this make your searching easier -- donniedarko
