Starrett2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Hello, We have an NT4.0 domain and were going to migrate to 2003 AD and Exchange2003 mixed mode. Management would like to know what we need to do to upgrade to 2008 AD and Exchange2007. Concerns: We have a third of all computers still running Window9598 We have 3 Production applications that require share/NTFS permissions to access (the Apps only run on WindowsNT). Questions: 1) Can NT still exist in an 2008AD/2007Exchng infrastructure? 2) Can 2008 user accounts connect to WindowsNT server shares in this structure? 3) What alternatives could I use to allow connectivity from 2008AD to WindowsNT server shares? FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 15, 2008 FPCH Admin Posted July 15, 2008 1: yes 2: yes This link will give some incite on how to join NT machines to a Windows 2008 domain. When a Windows NT 4.0-based computer tries to use the NETLOGON service to establish a security channel to a Windows Server 2008-based domain controller, the operation may fail Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
