SharedAccess error in Event Viewer

I am getting service timeout errors for the SharedAccess service being

reported in event viewer. On investigation I found that the service is not

listed in the list of active services but there is an entry for it in the

registry.

I understand that the SharedAccess service is for the firewall and Internet

Connection Sharing. I use a third party firewall (Zone Alarm) and do not use

ICS, so I assume that this is why the service is not running.

The question is why am I getting reported errors when I am not using the

functions that rely on this service?

Any help would be appreciated.
