I am using Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2.

 

Windows Update will not run automatically and causes a System error.

 

I can access Windows Update manually via IE although I have not attempted

installing the updates as yet.

 

Below the warnings in windowsupdate.log at the point the system error

occurs. There warnings are repeated frequently:

Synchronization Unable to Connect: Windows is unable to connect to the

automatic updates service and therefore cannot download and install updates

according to the set schedule. Windows will continue to try to establish a

connection.
