MyComputerGuy Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 This is a new server setup (factory loaded from Dell) with no existing domains. When running 'dcpromo' I receive the following error: 'The new domain cannot be created because the local Administrator account password does not meet requirements.' I have tried multiple passwords using 6 or more Upper case, Lower case, & Special characters. Any ideas? ..................................... The problem was resolved by re-installing the the OS and making sure that I used a strong Administrator password during the initial setup. Quote
