90% of downloads fail

Hi,

90% of what i download works great the first time around.

then when i restart my pc and click on the icon to use the program i

get these errors

EX: Example:

winrar.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry

for the inconvenience.

Mahjong.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry

for the inconvenience.

Family Feud.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are

sorry for the inconvenience.

this happens to most of all my downloads.

when i go to the folder that contains the downloaded file..its original

file size was 40 mb and once the error pops up the 40 mb file is

reduced to 55kb.

and in the control panel add/remove the file in question to be remove

gives me the same error..

and can't be uninstalled.

i run spybot and all is clean.

i download these files from tucows,yahoo,hippo etc.

any clue/suggestions to this error problem?

it is frustrating downloading the same files over and over to use it

once and only to re download it again.
