I tried all kinds and even your exhaustive fix here http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316524 I am logged in as Admistrator, in fact I am the Administrator for pete sake! I admit, it is not recommended to work in the XP Admin account, but I did... Windows Update works if I create a new user account but thats not the point... I want to be able to update from my Administrator account as its the one I'm using since a year now and haven't been able to update since... Surely there must be a fix? Help...
