Posted October 15, 200816 yr In Vista, Documents and Settings is not a folder and you cannot store anything in it. It is a junction point that serves only to send anything on to the proper folder User folder where such things are stored in Vista. I know it looks like a folder, but it is NOT. It is more like a shortcut, and by way of analogy, you know you cannot store anything in a shortcut. It is there so that older software that insists on encoding that XP location as a destination for it's information, will have it intercepted and directed to a proper Vista folder. Leave it alone! There is nothing in it, and you cannot put anything in it. There are similar folders, My Documents, My Photographs, and such that are also junction points, and exist for the same reason. Leave them all alone. Good luck.
