Preedit writes "The State of Maine is the latest organization to skip

Windows Vista, which has been a near-disaster for Microsoft. An internal

state document (dated September 15) uncovered by Infoweek reveals that Maine

will not be upgrading its more than 11,000 personal computing devices from

XP to Vista - ever. Instead, it's going to wait until Windows 7 ships in

2010 and hope for the best. The news is in line with a survey that shows

only 4% of businesses in the UK have upgraded to Vista, the story notes. So

much for that $300 million Seinfeld campaign." A commenter on the article

makes the point that Maine's signing an enterprise software license with

Microsoft means that Redmond doesn't really lose out on this deal it simply

allows the state to upgrade its equipment and software on its own time.

Hey, I've seen those MS ads on TV that states that Vista is the best and

easiest OS to date. This has to be true! It's on TV!

Good one!

Yeah, just like the idiot Bush went on TV and said we had to go to war

with Iraq because they were a threat to national security or the chimp

saying "Mission Accomplished on that air crafter carrier almost six

years ago...with more troops in Iraq now.

Just like Mc Cain said the economy was in fundamentally "good shape"

just a couple weeks ago, oops, before the Stock Market dived 800

points, Congress came running to the rescue and the number of people

out of work spiked and the credit crisis was on the brink of totally

freezing up the banking system which would have brought on the second

great depression pushing another twenty million people out of work.

Just like the bimbo Palin said Barack Obama "pals around with

terrorists" when the person she was referring Obama was just eight

years old at the time.

Sure "everything" you see on TV is true. Just like every post you read

in this goofy newsgroup is true. -)

Here's one more... The Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World

Series. Sure, right after the Chicago Bears win the Super Bowl and

Mayor Daley shocks the world and announces he's really a Republican

and so it Ted Kennedy. LOL!

You keep wondering WHY he cares? Why do YOU care about what MS does with

Vista? You can't even get one simple computer to run Vista at your place.

Take your computer to BestBuy and have those Geeks help your sorry ass out.

I'm sure they can get your computer working even when YOU can't..

How many times I need to remind people you're just a lying sack of

shit? Ditto for Frank, Ditto for Spanky. That's why you three morons

are known as the Three Stooges and charter members of the Useful

Idiots Club.

My install "works" as well as it CAN work, which is the problem, it

doesn't work very well. Have some adult explain the difference to you

because for sure you are far too stupid to get it.

A "near-disaster"??? According to who? Vista over 18% (in 2 years), OS X

under 6% (in 6 years), Linux under 1% (in 15 years).

Yep, that there Vista is real disaster!!!!

Source of information?

I would estimate that 1% of all albino bats in the world are left handed.

Pointless conjecture/guesswork, ergo invalid post.

I'm a Bat man.

I get to count all the left handed albino bats in my line of work.

Simple mathematics to calculate that all the ones I don't count MUST be

right handed.
