Posted October 5, 200816 yr Thank you ,Heresgeo ,for your very specific directions how to solve this problem. I will certainly try this option and get back to you on the results. I do not understand why the Microsoft people at their Update service could not come up with an answer. Their way of solving this issue was to remove SQL server from my computer. I really apreciate the help. Removing SQL from my computer did not seem the right answer. It was obviously put there for a purpose. I am not so computer literate to figure out why I need SQL, but if it was on my computer it is there for a purpose. This has been a most frustrating experience. I thank you again for bothering to answer my plea for help.
