Hello all, I'm really hoping someone can help me with this problem, as

I've been struggling with it for the past week. When browsing through

a network drive, most of the folders work fine, but clicking on

certain folders will lag/freeze Windows Explorer. If I click the

affected folder and leave it for about 15-30 seconds, it will

highlight itself, and then I can open it. This has only started being

an issue in the past week or so.

I've created a shortcut directly to the folder(s) on my desktop, and

clicking on them from there will open them with no lag at all. There

are video files in these folders (not in the direct root of the folder

I'm having the issue with, but in subfolders underneath), so I've

tried the suggestion i found in my original googling to try these

commands - regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll and REGSVR32 /U SHMEDIA.DLL (to

disable the thumbnail preview in Explorer), but neither of these

commands fixed the problem. I've also tried system restores to

various dates before the problem started happening with no luck. Does

anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try to fix this

problem? thanks in advance
