Guest mattroeske@gmail.com Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I cannot offer remote assistance to anyone else on my network. I've tried offering it to myself and it works just fine. I've ran ethereal and attempted to offer assistance from another computer and i can see the request sent to me and my computer sending a response right away. Thats when i get the message "The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable". Also I can telnet to port 135 just fine and windows firewall is disabled on all pc's in the domain. other notes: - The following GPO's are enabled - "computer/administrative templates/system/remote assistance" -Solicited Remote Assistance and -Offer Remote Assistance (Helpers: 'DOMAIN\Domain Admins') -the helpassistant user is enabled on both machines -and as i mentioned before the firewall service is off on both machines.
