Vista Turn on or off feature dialog empty

I'm having issue displaying features in Windows Features dialog. The

list is empty. I followed the KB article by MS but that didn't help

at all. It asked me to delete a registry key but the key didn't exist

so delete failed. There was a post to start up Windows Module

Installer to remedy the situation. The service in my box has started

already, however, it is set to manual so something must be turning it

on at boot up. I'm running as "admim" on all attempts. I even tried

UAC on and off but no help. Anyone else having the same problem? I

hate to reinstall everything. So far, Vista is not working out for

me. I wish MS can provide licensed XP until Vista stabilizes. TIA.
