If a user has KB951748 installed, their USB printers will no longer connect

properly to Terminal Services. Usually not even showing up as an available

printer on the server. When they log off their PC will hang for several

minutes. After logging off their printer will show on the server as still

connected. While they are connected the printer does not show up.

restarting the print spooler does clear out the old connections.

If they untick printers under resources before doing the RDP connection then

they logg off normally with no hang. If KB951748 is uninstalled the problem

goes away until autoupdate puts it back in.

Service Pack 3 appears to have a similar problem as I have tried it on a

clean install going straight to SP3. it worked fine for a while then the

problem resurfaced.

servers are running Windows Server 2003 R2

PC's are XP pro (SP2 or SP3) . they are used strictly for RDP connections.

I already know about the Zone Alarm issue, no third party Firewall is

installed, antivirus is Symantec Corporate Ed 10.1.7.7. Some PCs have

BlackBerry Software installed. Printers are all HP's, Software bundles are

not installed, just drivers. That is it for additional Software.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?
