Hi everyone, Im not to advanced with Linux knowledge and am running this distro which I like better then Mint for example cause its very simple to use but heres a few issues Im having. I posted at zorin forums about it but still haven't got a response. I will copy and paste both posts for you, hopefully someone can help me out, this is a debian/Ubuntu based distro. So anyone from that community may be able to help me as well.

Post 1 DRIVE PERMISSIONS:
Im running a 120GB SSD for both windows and zorin, I have it partitioned 80gb for windows and 40 gb for Zorin. Now inside Zorin Im trying to adjust through properties the access permission to the windows partition dive to set it to read only for example, yet it wont allow it keeps reverting to access and delete files. Which I don't want.

Why is this? I have been doing my research and there appears to be some types of Malware (a very rare type may I add) that even if they may not infect Linux they are smart and will look for a windows partition to infect, and I do NOT want this happening. I need the windows partition on lock down, no writing possible whatsoever.

Post2 No audio output? : Argggh, Audio was working when I first installed Zorin 8.

But I wasnt too happy with the quality since it seemed a little low.

So I was messing around with it and downloaded the ALSA config utility which wouldnt even open.

I then went to sound settings and in profile accidently set it to digital output instead of Analog which is what I use.

Now I have no sound.

I tried reseting with pulse audio and it displays the Anaglo Stereo in sound settings again, but I have selected it and still have no sound.

Also I can see the little blue bar moving in Pulse when I click test speakers but I hear nothing. Yes the HDMI audio for video is muted and my soundcard which is a Xonar D2 is set as fallback.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! Or am I going to have to reinstall?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

If anyone can PLEASE help me out here, the drive persmissions thing Im sure can be done through some commands in terminal but I don't know how. As for the audio thing I really need to have that fixed and do not want to go through a whole reinstall.

Thank you ahead of time. :)
