I realize this is the wrong forum - but I think so many of you use Zone
Alarm that the answer will be easy for you.

If I want to stop a specific we b site from accessing my PC, what
settings do I set up in Zone Alarm. If you reply, [lease be specific
because I have trouble understanding ZA. Thank you........

Hi Fruit20,
Well, If you have the free version I don't think you will have the privilege
for this service!.
But you can open your Hosts file by doing this:
Open a windows explorer and locate this path:
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc = look in the Right Pane/window and see the
Hosts file, note there is a Host.SAM please leave this alone.
The host file will looks like this:
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # Source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # Client Host
127.0.0.1 LocalHost
127.0.0.1 www.putthenamehere.com
This will disallow the access to this site.

You can set a password on ZA and let lock the Host file, to do that follow
this:
Double click the " Z " on the Notification Area and click on Firewall on the
control panel of ZA, click on Main Tab then under Trusted Zone Security click
on Advanced button.
On the Advanced Settings you will find a check box select it:
[ ] Lock host file.
Click [OK] and you done.
You can test to see.
HTH.

In addition to what nass posted, in ZA you should put the specific web site
in the internet zone. You do this by clicking on the firewall settings and
moving the Internet Zone Security slider to HIGH.

You should also insure that the specific site is located in the internet
zone. Back in the Firewall settings, select the Zones tab. This will bring
up a table which shows where you have setup which computer goes where.
Click the Add tab to add a site to this table.

Thank you. But, isn't there a way in ZA to exclude that site from
being able to contact me (without doing what the other person said with
the HOST file)?

Hi,
Could you please explain " exclude that site from being able to contact me",
do you have a pop-up from this site?, if yes then your computer compromised
and you need to perform a through scan and cleanup.

I am tired of sites being able to address my computer and check my
serial number for software they license. All my software is legal -
but I resent the intrusions. I think my firewall (ZA) should be able
to prevent this - but I don't know how to do it.
