My issue is when I play an .avi file in windows media player 8,9, 10, of 11
for windows xp it doesn't play the file correctly. It playst it upside down.
It says it needs a YUY2 codec to play the file. There is no other updates for
this Four CC update. There is an update microsoft has supplied under Q810243
and can only install on windows xp with SP1 only. I think that is stupid that
they would make an update that only installs on one version of windows xp. It
should be able to be installed on windows xp, windows xp SP1, and windows
sp2, and onward. Please make a correction to this update so it can be
installed on any windows xp version. This avi does play correctly in windows
98 SE. So it should make sense it should play on a more advanced version of
the windows OS, but it does not. Another criticism I have is the codec
support in windows xp. There were codecs in windows 98 SE that were in that
OS and have been dropped in Winodows XP and Vista. It should be noted these
codecs should be in future versions of windows OSes and not dropped or
something that replaces them. The full professional version of these codecs
should used as well.

Thank you and please help me to correct this error so I can play the ,avi in
windows media player 8, 9, 10, 11 for windows xp and vista and not have to go
back to windows 98 SE.
