XP toolbar for files and folders

wag

The toolbar on the top of a file and folder page with the back and forward
buttons exc. Is gone and I can't find the controls to put them bask. Thanks
 
Right click the bar and configure.

Right click on the menu bar (where you see File, Edit, View, etc.).
In the menu that appears, click on Standard Buttons.

If that doesn't work, you can click on the View menu and make sure Standard
Buttons is checked under Toolbars by clicking on it.

thanks for the response! But the menu bar is what has gone missing all
together, from the right click start to explore I see folders on the left but
nothing on top anymore to even get into to adjust! I hope someone is still
here! Thanks again

See if the XP_ToolbarFix.exe utility available from this web site helps.
