My wife's XP Pro has a taskbar that is two levels high. I tried draging and
changing the properties with no luck.

I even tried a new profile, but all the Outlook functions didn't transfer
with the pst file.

Is there a way to reset the taskbar to the original look?

Thanks and happy new year,

Dennis

Try this solution:

Right Click an empty area of the task bar i.e. not on an icon of an open
application, and uncheck "Lock Taskbar" and then try dragging it back to
one row in height. Right click again on the task bar (in an empty area) and
re-check the "Lock Task Bar" option to prevent it being resized
accidentally.

Try right clicking the task bar in an empty area i.e. not on an open
application icon, then click "Lock Task Bar" if it has a tick next to it;
this then allows you to resize the task bar. Re-lock the task bar when
done, following the above procedure.

Unlock the Taskbar, then take the vertical spacer to the left of the
second line and click/drag it to the right and up onto the top line.
This will give you two tall tool bars and then you can resize the
Taskbar. Lock it back.
